Organization of the Summer School

Students of the summer school come from various backgrounds – they can be recipients of reciprocal scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, recipients of scholarships from the Charles University Rectorate, the Faculty of Arts or other cultural institutions or fee-paying students.

Participants are accommodated in a student dormitory. Breakfasts are provided in the cafeteria. In addition, students receive meal vouchers (100 CZK).

Classes are held in buildings of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University located in the centre of Prague.

Fees, Payments and Dates

Non-refundable registration fee*	4 000 CZK
Price of the course including cultural programme	24 000 CZK
Price of accommodation in a student dormitory with breakfasts, welcome and farewell dinner, registration lunch, 2x packed lunch for trips, administration	24 000 CZK
Price of the welcome&farewell dinner	1 600 CZK
Price for a double room for a single use (depending on the capacity – please wait for the availability confirmation!)	5 000 CZK

Internal participants (attendees with full service package) cover the full price 52 000 CZK (includes: the registration fee, four weeks of language courses, weekend trips, cultural programme, accommodation, meal plan). A 500 CZK discount (from the course fee) provided that all due fees are paid by May 1, 2023.

External participants (attendees with reduced service package) cover 28 000 CZK (includes: the registration fee, four weeks of language courses, weekend trips, cultural programme) and arrange their own accommodation individually. 27 500 CZK with a 500 CZK discount (from the course fee) provided that all due fees are paid by May 1, 2024.

You can pay the total amount in CZK or a corresponding amount in any other currency. When converting a currency to CZK, the average exchange rate of the Komerční banka for the given day is applied.

Should you require an invoice, or a receipt, please do not hesitate to contact us via email and include your banking details. Administration usually takes approximately 5-10 working days (since crediting of payment in case of receipt issuance).

  • total amount for external participants: 28 000 CZK (including registration fee), purpose Summer School of Slavonic Studies External package
  • fee for welcome & farewell dinner (1 600 CZK)
• internal participants
  • registration fee (4 000 CZK)
  • course fee with accommodation and breakfasts + welcome/farewell dinners and trip lunches for internal participants: 48 000 CZK without the registration fee 4.000 CZK, purpose Internal package w/o registration
  • total amount for internal participants: 52 000 CZK including the registration fee, purpose Internal package
  • fee for the double room for a single person use: 5 000 CZK (for the entire duration of the Summer School) – please wait for the availability confirmation first!

2) In cash or card payment

In special cases and upon previous agreement, you can also pay the course fee upon arrival, at the payment desk of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (room 123), in cash or using a payment card (Euro/Master Card, Visa…).
