Accommodation

In 2024, LŠSS internal students will be staying at the Masaryk dormitory.

Office of LŠSS assistants: room O503, every day 18:30-19:30 (1st week)

The dormitory is located near the city center, in a close proximity to Dejvická metro (A, green line) – it takes about 10 minutes to get to the university; the dormitory is 2 km away from the Prague Castle. There are shops,restaurants, parks, and numerous landmarks within walking distance.

The accommodation is provided in double rooms (one unit of 2-3 rooms shares a bathroom and a kitchenette). Single rooms are not available. Based on your interest and capacity available, you may request a double room for a single person use for a fee of 5 000 CZK for the entire duration of the LŠSS.

It is possible to request an extra night (before or after the Summer School) at lsss.praha@ff.cuni.cz. The price is 700 CZK (incl. breakfast) per night (850 CZK for a double room for a single person). Payments upon arrival at the dormitory reception by cash or by card.

Checkin on July 18th, the reception is opened 24/7 (except for 6:30-7pm)

Checkout on August 15th, 10 am (it is possible to store luggage at the reception afterwards).

Facilities:

  • double rooms (units 2+2 or 2+2+2)
  • Bathroom with shower, toilet and a kitchenette with a refrigerator shared by a unit (two or three rooms)
  • Desk, chair, bed and closet
  • Bedding, towels, drinking glass, soap and toilet paper
  • Ceiling light only (no desk lamp)
  • 4x Washing and 4x drying machines (students need to purchase their own washing powder/laundry detergent, reservations need to be made ad the dormitory’s reception)
  • Dining hall where breakfasts and brunches will be provided
  • student club ISC Hub
  • ATM machine and printing machine in the hallway

Airport Transport:
To get to the dorm from the airport, take bus 119 in the direction of NÁDRAŽÍ VELESLAVÍN. Once there, get on the metro(Green Line A) in the direction of SKALKA/DEPO HOSTIVAŘ. Get off at the DEJVICKÁ station and walk approximately 450 metres from there.
