I study Teaching Czech as a Foreign Language along with Teaching Czech Language and Literature, and on top of that, I also study French Philology as a separate program. During my bachelor’s studies, French opened the door for me to Geneva and later to Brussels, where I did an internship at the Czech Centre. These Erasmus experiences were very formative for me and are actually part of the reason why I decided I’d like to teach Czech as a foreign language one day. I’m looking forward to being in constant contact with many cultures at the summer school and gaining inspiration for my teaching.
When I’m not studying, I enjoy hiking in the mountains both at home and abroad, experimenting with cooking, reading, playing board games, and ping pong. I’m a lifelong barista, so I know where to find the best coffee in Prague.
I speak Czech, English, and French, and I can understand Spanish and Italian—you might even get an answer from me in Italian. Out of curiosity, I’m learning Finnish, which gives me a perspective similar to that of many non-native Czech speakers.

This will be my third time attending the summer school as an assistant, and just like in previous years, I’m really looking forward to it. I speak Czech and English fluently, and I understand a bit of German, Russian, and Japanese. I enjoy exploring languages, learning them, and also teaching them, as I’m a teacher of Czech and English. I love getting to know foreign cultures. My favorite way to spend time is with a book and a cup of coffee, but I also enjoy board games and computer games. I’m very friendly, so feel free to come and have a chat with me anytime.

This is my fourth year at the Summer School of Slavonic Studies. I speak Czech, English, and almost French. I never go anywhere without my sketchbook, markers, and headphones. I’m involved in visual art, especially Surrealism and Constructivism. Even though I don’t smile much, don’t hesitate to approach me — I’m always happy to help you with any technical problem.
